Pigs in Town

The Pignitaros were up from NJ this weekend. We had some great meals, good pool time, and went out to the Stratham Fair. My beatiful God Daughter Nicole has been a sweetheart all weekend, loving up all of the animals. Andy "had" to mow the lawn.......we did not build a jump! We hung the lattice work on the shed and enjoyed each others company.

Shedding It

We've had a ton of requests for pics of the shed. A Pig. was up from Jersey and lent a big hand at putting one of the finishing touches on with the addition of the lattice work. Still need to waterproof the inside, stain and "mount" the ramp and hang the tools.

Blackberry Season

Hello all! Thanks for the great emails regarding our most recent post. Today we are celebrating Blackberry Harvest. After a great night at the local Theater we worked our butt's off in the yard today. Zoe helped us pick some blackberries and tonight we are settling in for some White Chocolate Mousse and Fresh Berries.

Getting in touch.....

with my agricultural heritage or as Billy might say, in more colorful language, my "feminine side". I thought I would share some great pictures that Lisa took in the yard.

The garden is great this year. Tomatoes of about six different varieties are all about full size already. Onions are getting big and the beets are the best we've ever grown. We have already harvested four cucumbers.
This picture is for Dad Parlow and his Kodiak Bear fishing in Fremont.

Being married to Lisa is great, but when I come back I so want to be one of her dogs!

Pasture Raised NEFF Wedding

It was a wedding that would bring Carl Demattio, our fearless NEFF leader, to tears. Many of the D&B clan, purveyors of Northeast Family Farms, headed up to northern Vermont for an old fashioned, pasture wedding. Our esteemed young Production Manager married his beautiful girlfriend Chandra. They met at his Uncle's artisanal butcher shop, the wedding was held at the local baptist church, and then we proceeded to an area farm for some great BBQ, beer and music. Billy, Nancy, Lisa and I took of at dusk, as many were setting up tents and building a bonfire to party late into the night, and probably well into the morning. The four of us headed back to Fremont, watched a movie and called it a night. Sunday morning we hung out on the deck listening to some great gospel music, and noshing on some cheesy, bacon, mushroom, pea and egg pie(but definitely not quiche), chorizo hash, fruit salad and biscuits. A great summer weekend!
We wish Ryan and Chandra many years of wedded bliss!

Happy Fourth

We hit a local Bonfire/Pasture Party on the Eve of the fourth. Good time in the Poker Tournament but the bugs got so bad that playing fast and loose was the only way to go. Got beat going all in after 2 hours with a pair of fours. Oh Well!
Hit the Horribles Parade in Andover to see Callie and Nate on their souped up bikes! Lisa got in on the action with a sporty pair of 4th Antennae.
Kitchen shopping today and deck day tomorrow.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!
