Classic Fremont Spring Weekend

Hello all! Hope you are well. Lisa and I worked our BUTTS off this weekend, but had a great time. We spent Saturday raking some garden beds and planting some herbs, lettuce and cabbage. We then settled in for a classic Kentucky Derby. Great race and great meal. Started off with Mint Juleps. Spicy bourbon glazed Pork Chops, Mashed Sweet Potatoes and, Spinach and Pecan Stuffed Mushrooms. Finished the night off with some Pecan Pie and an episode of Deadwood.

Sunday we dropped my car off for service and took the dogs for a morning breakfast picnic in an Exeter park. The rest of the day consisted of six hours of back breaking yard work. We broke down about four trees that had come down during late winter storms and then dragged them out to the back woods. We then cleared out beside our garden beds, hauled two loads of compost and set in a new strawberry patch. Six hours down about a 100 more to go!!!!!!!

Talk to you soon,

The Fremont B's
